Olive's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Sweet, gentle girl
Miss Olive, a short-haired brown and grey tortie, is seven pounds and looking for her forever home!

She was found in the San Jose neighborhood of Naglee Park as an abandoned kitty.

She was fed by a neighbor there for about two weeks and slept on the porch every night. When the smoke from the fires became bad, the neighbor knew Olive didn't deserve to be outdoors any longer and worked to find her a foster.

Olive was taken to Animal Medical Clinic in Milpitas, where the doctor checked that she fixed (she was) and negative for FIV (she was). She was also found to be allergic to something environmental and was given a cortisone shot. Therefore, Olive must be an indoor cat, but could still use a microchip as well as vaccines for FVRCP and rabies, as it's unclear if she had them before.

Olive is a gentle and slow moving cat. She is happy to be held or be on laps and purrs constantly if you rub her head. She would likely be good in  home with babies or elderly persons. She would likely get along with other animals that are similar in nature. She is not declawed.

After being doors a bit, Olive's foster has found that she has impeccable litter box habits as well.

Please contact poissonkate@gmail.com to visit with Olive! She would love to meet you and win over your heart.

Due to circumstances beyond Olive's current foster's control, Olive  is on stray hold until the 7th at San Jose Animal Care.
